On Monday, we took a family field to the Rochester Museum of Play, which also contains the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden. They have over 800 butterflies and they fly all around you. The kids absolutely loved looking at all of the butterflies. Here are some pictures of the butterflies (and the kids with the butterflies).

The kids love to go into the backyard and watch for Garth to come home. Here's a picture I took this week of them doing just that.
This past Saturday we took a trip to the African Lion Safari up in Ontario. They have many African and Asian animals that get close enough to your vehicle for you to touch them. In fact, they warn you to keep your windows rolled up and locked so that the animals cannot get inside. The ostriches were pecking at people's windows and there were baboons all over people's cars (we saw up to 6 on one person's SUV). It was a fascinating experience. Below are some pictures that we took with the digital camera. We also have some video that we'll put up once we get it edited and formatted for the web. If you're interested in reading more about the Safari, their website is www.lionsafari.com.

As many of you know, I love eBay. A friend recently sent me this auction on eBay that sold for an astounding amount of money: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130144061675&ru=http%25.
The woman that wrote that auction is becoming famous, having done many radio and television interviews already (just because of her eBay auction). She has six children and writes about her family and life on her blog: http://mom2my6pack.blogspot.com/. I check her blog almost daily for a good laugh and some inspiration to continue dealing with my children day in and day out. I thought that many of you (particularly the stay-at-home moms that read my blog) would also enjoy reading this woman's blog.
We bought our travel system (stroller and carseat) last night off of eBay...of course. ;-) Garth put it together and then the kids had to practice with it. They were pushing the stroller through the house and Sarah put one of her baby dolls in the carseat and they were feeding the baby doll with bottles, etc. It was very funny to watch. Here are some pictures that we took. Excuse the clothes in the background...those all need to go on eBay!

And for anyone that's wondering, the kids' shirts say "It's Not Easy Being Daddy's Girl" and "I Get My Good Looks From My Dad".
The kids are taking swim lessons this fall through the YMCA. They both really enjoyed swimming at our apartment complex pool this summer so they are enjoying the opportunities to keep swimming now that the weather is too cool for the apartment pool. Sarah is in a class of 6 kids and Benjamin is in a class of 3. Benjamin's class requires a parent to participate as well, so Garth is also enjoying swim lessons! Here are some pictures from this last lesson.

Sarah lost her first tooth today (well, at least from natural causes). As some of you may remember, she lost three of her top teeth when she fell on the brick steps at our home in Greenville. The bottom tooth she lost today came out legitimately and she is so excited! The other front bottom tooth will be close behind it...it's already quite loose. Here is a picture of her. She's looking forward to a visit from the tooth fairy tonight!

Well, a tooth a day...Sarah's other bottom tooth fell out this morning. She's now missing a total of 5 teeth in the front of her mouth!

On Saturday, my sister was married to Dan Duan in Greenville. We made a quick trip down for the wedding. Sarah was the flower girl and Benjamin was the ring bearer (or "ring bear" as he called it). I was the matron of honor and Garth videotaped the wedding. Here are some pictures!

Benjamin stayed in Greenville with Grandpa and Grandma for about a week and a half, so Sarah's had to find other things (besides her brother!) to keep her busy. Her Great Grandpa and Grandma Norton recently gave her two looms and a bunch of colored bands to make potholders. Here is a picture of Sarah working on her first potholder and then a picture of her first completed potholder. Good job, Sarah!!
